Christmas fun, games for Bata children

Santa with some of the children from the Villa Gracia Day Care Center, club members and Rotoractors*

Christmas came early this year for some 60 children from Brgy. Bata in Bacolod City, who flocked to the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club recently for the annual Pamaskua Sa Bata gift-giving party hosted by the Rotary Club of Bacolod-Marapara.

The children, all from the club’s adopted Villa Gracia Day Care Center, had a morning of fun, games, music, a tasty meal and a special visit by Santa, who took who took time out from his busy schedule to give each child a great gift.

“After an absence of two years due to the pandemic, it’s great to be back with our annual children’s party,” said club president Lani Ferrer.

“I would like to thank our club members, our Rotoractors and of course Santa for ensuring the children had a terrific time. It’s always heart-warming to see the less fortunate children in our community having so much fun at Christmas,” she also said.*
