The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod passed a resolution granting Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez authority to sign a memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the City of Bacolod and Seymour Sanchez, designating the latter as festival director of the Bacolod Film Festival 2024.
Under the MOA, Sanchez of Victoria de Makati, Washington Street, Makati City, is being designated, authorized and appointed by Benitez to be the official festival director of the 2024 Bacolod Film Festival.
The mayor, through an executive order, will convene the Bacolod Film Festival Council which will act as the decision-making body for all matters and issues relating to the conduct of the Bacolod Film Festival.
Benitez, as first party, will also allocate and disburse the amount of P200,000 per month for six months from April 1 to September 30 as renumeration of the second party (Sanchez) as festival director, including his five-member team. The aforesaid amount will exclude the travel expenses of the second party and his time for the entire duration of the planning, preparation, and festival proper of the Bacolod Film Festival.
