The Coast Guard Station (CGS) Northern Negros Occidental yesterday received four rubber boats and an Outboard Motor (OBM) from Ramel Uy, Chief Executive Officer of the Clinica de Alternativo Medicina and Radyo Bandera.
The additional floating assets will boost the capability of CGS Northern Negros Occidental in performing Maritime Search and Rescue, Maritime Safety, Maritime Security, Marine Environmental Protection and Maritime Law Enforcement, a statement from the Coast Guard said.
Coast Guard Commander Joe Luviz Mercurio, chief of the CGS Northern Negros Occidental, disclosed that they will utilize floating assets effectively and efficiently, as he promised a better, developed and enhanced services and operations from his personnel.
Commodore Arnaldo Lim, Coast Guard District Western Visayas chief, thanked Doc Ramel Uy for his support to the Coast Guard in Region 6.
The turnover of floating assets to Coast Guard was held yesterday at the BREDCO Port in Bacolod City.*
