A suspected drug den was dismantled by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and local police in Brgy. 5, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Sunday, and led to the arrest of six suspects.
Nabbed during the buy-bust operation were Lamberto Fajardo, allegedly the drug den maintainer, Jose Russel Dejito, Renato Bestura, Lito Fajardo, Edmar Franciloso, and Antonio Barcelo.
The operation also yielded 12 grams of suspected shabu, worth P81,600, assorted paraphernalia, and P300 in marked money.
Another drug suspect, identified by the police as Ske Jim Chua, alias Ran Ran, was apprehended by the police in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Robles, La Castellana, also on Sunday.
The arrest of Chua, 24, who is a market vendor, yielded 0.5 gram of suspected shabu, worth P3,400, and P300 in marked money, the La Castellana police reported. The arrest of Ramil Obedencia, 23, for curfew violation in Brgy. Talubangi, Kabankalan City, also yielded a gram of suspected shabu, with a market value of P6,800, on Sunday.*
