The Office of the City Mayor issued Executive Order No. 29 or “An Order Constituting the Bacolod City Disposal Committee” to manage the disposal of properties of the local government units of the city, a press release from City Hall said.
Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez constituted the Bacolod City Disposal Committee that is responsible for conducting inspection, making a master list of properties to be disposed of and its submission to Commission on Audit and other concerned offices, and supervising the actual disposal.
Properties subjected for disposal are either unserviceable, no longer needed or as requested by the user or custodian of the property.
The chairperson of the said committee will be Mayor Benitez with City Administrator Pacifico Maghari III as vice chairperson.
Karol Joseph Chiu, secretary to the Mayor, will function as the head of the Secretariat and Technical Working Group as mandated by the EO.*
