Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is joining the UniTeam led by presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio on their campaign sorties today in Negros Occidental.
Based on his itinerary, Marcos and Arroyo will meet with some leaders of the sugar industry, as arranged by Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer, to discuss pressing problems of the sugar industry.
Ferrer said he also arranged the meeting between Marcos, and the 25 Negros Occidental mayors who are supporting the BBM-Sara tandem.
The identities of the 25 Negros Occidental mayors supporting the BBM-Sara tandem are expected to be released by Ferrer after February 23.
A grand caravan of UniTeam national candidates starting at the national highway of Silay City kicks off at 3:30 p.m. today, enroute to the BREDCO Port open space in Bacolod City for a grand rally.
Expected to join the proclamation rally are Senator-reelectionists Juan Miguel Zubiri and Sherwin Gatchalian,former Public Works secretary Mark Villar, former Palace spokesperson Harry Roque, former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, ex- Defense secretary Gilbert Teodoro, former Senator Loren Legarda, lawyer Larry Gadon, former Information and Communications secretary Gringo Honasan, comebacking Senator Jinggoy Estrada and House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta.*
