Charges for rape in relation to child abuse will be filed today against a jobless man, who sexually abused his niece and pierced her sex organ with a barbeque stick, in Brgy. Singcang, Bacolod City.
Station 8 chief, P/Capt. Jun Ray Batadlan said they are now collating evidence against the suspect, 31, who is at large.
Batadlan said their investigation showed that the suspect gave the 6-year-old victim P50, and asked her to go with him.
He said the suspect brought the victim to a grassy area located a few meters away from their house and raped her.
Batadlan said the victim’s parents reported the incident on Dec. 26 and the result of the medical examination on the victim released on Jan. 2, showed that she was, indeed, raped and there were indications that a blunt object was inserted in her sex organ. Batadlan said they did not arrest the suspect because the period prescribed by law for hot pursuit operation already lapsed.*
