The Bacolod City Zone 5B Lions clubs have launched a Pediatric Cancer Ward Adoption Program at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City.

In line with their Global Service Goals, the Lions clubs under District 301-B1, Zone 5B that include the Bacolod City Mt. Kanlandog Lions, the Bacolod City Sampaguita Lions and the Bacolod City Sugarlandia Lions are adopting the Pediatric Oncology Ward of CLMMRH for 12 months, Lion Jose Luis Sanagustin said in a press release.

This month the Lions clubs are providing the ward with a rechargeable electric fan, a cellphone, T-shirts for house wear, a Nerf Gun and a pink dress that were in the wish list of the patients, he said.

“In our simple ways it is our intention to give flesh to this year’s theme of the Lions Clubs International, “Unity in Kindness and Diversity”,’ he added.*
