The Negros Mountaineering Club Inc. elected its new set of officers for 2021 during its general assembly at BrewChaa sa Garahi coffee house in Bacolod City Saturday.

Elected president was Gunther Rosales, vice president – Rebie Relator, secretary – Mary Grace Galvan, treasurer – Odessa Tortosa, and Lester Lope, George Garbanzos, Jovie Tuazon, Jojo Bonnin, and Jelo Viendo as members of the Board.
The club, under the leadership of NMCI immediate past president Rebie Relator, hosted the Mountaineering Federation of the Philippine’s Inc.’s National Search and Rescue training recently at Guintubdan in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
Other activities it conducted this year were refresher training for its new members, diagnostic run at the Panaad Park, hiking, trail management, rappelling, and trail and camp management.
The club members also paid tribute to Lodel Magbanua and Edwin Gatia – a founding member of NMCI – who both passed away this year.*CGS
