As part of the continuous efforts of the Abanse Negrense Sports Programs to collaborate with local government units and sports organizations in the Province of Negros Occidental, the Provincial Sports Office, together with the Negros Federation Volleyball Enthusiasts Inc. (NEFVEI), will be holding the 1st Governor Bong Lacson Beach Volleyball Tournament (Women’s Open Category) in the municipality of Don Salvador Benedicto on April 20 to 21.
Ten teams from the provinces of Negros Occidental, Iloilo, Guimaras, and Cebu will participate in the inaugural beach volleyball tournament, namely City Designs, UNO-R Team A, UNO-R Team B, Delimondo, VNJ Sports Team A (Cebu), VNJ Sports Team B (Cebu), VMA, Guimaras State University, Dr. Jack (Iloilo), and E.B. Magalona.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson is set to give an opening message during the tournament, while DSB Mayor Laurence Marxlen Dela Cruz will be giving a welcome address. Philippine Super Liga Beach Volleyball Champion and former National Beach Volleyball Player Erjane Magdato will take the lead for the Oath of Sportsmanship during the tournament.
The 1st Governor Bong Lacson Beach Volleyball Tournament (Women’s Open Category) is part of the Abanse Negrense Sports Programs, spearheaded by Lacson and assisted by Provincial Sports Coordinator Anthony Carlo Agustin. The upcoming beach volleyball tournament was organized by NEFVEI, led by its president Jose Montalbo.*
