The National Bureau of Investigation has organized a task force to investigate the dumping of mutilated human body parts in front of its district office in Bacolod City on March 1.
Atty. Renoir Baldovino, NBI- Bacolod district office chief, said the task force will be composed of investigators and agents from Luzon.
Baldovino said the task force will handle the case, although he cannot say when they will begin.
The owner of the dismembered human body parts dumped in front of the NBI-Bacolod District Office has been identified.
Based on reports of their informant, Baldovino disclosed that the victim is a “drug personality” in Bacolod City. He, however, withheld the identity of the victim.
The mutilated human body parts, composed of two ears, a left arm and left leg, which were placed inside a sack, along with an accompanying note linking a personnel of the NBI to an alleged drug lord, was found in front of the NBI office.
Baldovino also debunked speculations of a perceived conflict between his executive officer, Atty. Jose Gabriel, and Special Investigator William de Arca, who was the one linked to an alleged drug lord.
De Arca serves as the team leader of the anti-illegal task force of NB Bacolod District Office.
Baldovino maintained that the dumping incident is meant to threaten them in their campaign against illegal gambling.*
