Another member of the Negros Occidental Sangguniang Panlalawigan and a provincial government employee were added to the list of those infected with Covid-19, that led to the temporary lockdown of the provincial government Public Information Office yesterday.
The closure was to pave the way for the disinfection of the premises and the conduct of swab testing of his office mates, who have been advised to go on isolation.
Board Member Rommel Debulgado, who was with Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson during a recent activity in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, tested positive on Monday, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said yesterday.
Lacson was swabbed and tested negative Tuesday, Diaz added.
He also said that Debulgado was symptomatic, and lost his senses of taste and smell.
Two other police escorts of Lacson were advised to go on isolation, pending the results of their swab tests.
Provincial Incident Management Team head Zeaphard Gerhart Caelian, who also tested positive anew for Covid-19, is still in isolation but he is still active in performing his job, Diaz said.*
