The distribution of P91 million housing assistance to typhoon victims in Negros Occidental is slated to kick off next week.
Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson yesterday said that each family will receive P5,000 financial assistance from the National Housing Authority.
The lists of recipients affected by Typhoon Odette in December last year will be based on the recommendation of concerned local government units.
Following the devastation brought about by typhoon Odette, the provincial government distributed P50 million worth of housing materials and food packs to victims in Hinobaan, Sipalay City, Cauayan, Ilog, Isabela and Hinigaran.
Lacson said they will start distributing financial assistance on May 30 in Hinigaran, the cities of Cadiz and Victorias as well as Pontevedra on May 31, and June 3 in Ilog town.*
