The Negros Occidental Provincial Veterinary Office launched its own dairy product, a yogurt ice cream with mixed fresh fruits, on Wednesday.
Provincial Veterinarian Renante Decena said the PVO yogurt ice cream has been available for many years already, but Negrenses could only taste it during the Panaad sa Negros celebration.
“Now, the office has made yogurt ice cream with mixed fresh fruits available daily, right at the doorstep of the PVO,” he said.
He said the PVO has been engaged in dairy production since 2001 and has gained prominence as one of the outstanding dairy farms operated by a provincial government and received a citation as Food Safety Compliant Farm in the National Dairy Authority Awards 2019.
Decena said, “The PVO this time is showcasing farm cattle dairy production which includes fresh milk and yogurt in variant flavors like chocolate, ube, buko pandan, strawberry, and mango.”
Products available for orders include fresh cow’s raw milk (unprocessed), fresh processed milk (pasteurized), processed flavored milk, and fresh milk (plain and flavored).
For inquiries, those interested may call PVO at 433-9850 or 434-5924, and look for Glenda Puentevella or Marijoe Glen Buta.*
