The city government of Sipalay has placed Barangay San Jose on temporary lockdown starting Sunday, following the suspected cases reported in the area.
In a statement yesterday, the city government said that its Inter-Agency Task Force and the barangay have already begun implementing the standard contact tracing, decontamination, zoning, and containment procedures last Sunday.
All residents of the barangay, including the city government employees living in the area and identified close contacts of the suspected cases, are enjoined to stay at home and strictly follow all health protocols, such as wearing a mask, face shield, and frequent hand washing.
The households placed under quarantine in the area have been provided with food packs by the city government, the statement said.
Moreover, all city government employees who are residing in the barangay and city personnel who have had close contact with the suspected cases have been instructed to arrange a work from home scheme and to observe strict home quarantine since yesterday. The city government is also asking the continued understanding, vigilance, and support of its constituents in their fight against the coronavirus pandemic.*
