Yes, we are meant to live a spiritual and supernatural life. This, of course, will have its definitive state in heaven where we will share the eternal life of God, our Creator and Father, who has made us his image likeness and adopted us to be his children.

If we really have a good prayer, one where we truly have an intimate encounter with God, we for sure would come out of it burning with zeal for love and concern for the others. Somehow we would catch the fire behind these words of Christ: “I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!” (Lk 12,49)

This might be considered a political issue itself, as contentious as any other. But I believe we can gather enough consensus to come out with some common rules to guide us on how to tackle political issues properly.

With Christ, it is not enough to know him. We also have to love him. With Christ, to know him truly is to love him also. In fact, we cannot say we really know him unless we love him too.

We have no reason to ever feel lonely. That’s because whether we realize it or not, we are never alone. God is always with us. And I am sure, many people, especially our parents and those who love us in some way, keep us in their mind and heart. We should never feel alone.

It’s good to review that wonderful parable about the wheat and the weeds and to savor the great lesson it gives us. (cfr. Mt 13,24-30) To be sure, the parable is very relevant these days as there is a crying need to sharpen our skill at discerning between the good and the evil that in today’s world are so mixed up that we often would not know which is which.

Actually, more than what stirs our passions the most, the question to ask should be who makes us most passionate? If we are just passionate about things, certainly we are still very far from the ideal. And even if we are very passionate about some persons, we would still be missing the mark.

Because of our abnormal times, we are asked to submit ourselves to certain protocols that we usually do not have during normal times. Right now, we are asked, and we should obey, those strict indications about social or physical distancing, wearing of masks, washing of hands, etc.

This may sound like a fantastic and overwhelming exercise, but I believe it is something necessary for us to do if we want to have the proper priorities in life, and thus to be properly guided. Especially these days when we are bombarded with so many fascinating things that can confuse us and lead us astray, we should consider this exercise as indispensable.
