UNegA endorses Lacson-Ferrer tandem

The tandem of Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer was formally endorsed by the United Negros Alliance (UNegA) during its general assembly on December 3 at the Manuel Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center, in Bago City.

The endorsement was contained in a resolution unanimously passed by 178 of the 183 party members, who attended the general assembly, disclosed Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr, who is the UNegA secretary general.

Lacson thanked the party for endorsing his re-election bid in partnership with Ferrer.

He assured UNegA that all local government units in Negros Occidental will receive projects from the provincial government without any political color.

Lacson said that he will work and cooperate with Ferrer to bring more service to the people of the province.

Lacson is allied with Love Negros while Ferrer is chairman of UNegA.

Aside from Lacson, the UNegA general assembly was also attended by House Minority Leader Rep. Stephen Paduano, Fifth District Rep. Ma. Lourdes Arroyo and Second District Rep. Rafael Leo Cueva, among others.

Sagay City Mayor Alfredo Marañon III, who is unopposed in the 2nd District congressional race, assisted by Vice Gov. Ferrer, presided over the general assembly.*
