Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez said that he is sending a letter to the Department of Agriculture, to formalize his request of asking irrigation, farm to market roads, fertilizers, and machineries for Victorias City.
Benitez met with Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel on January 3, with whom he briefed their innovative strategies for agricultural development and sustainable growth.
He also informed Laurel of the city government’s commitment to triple its budget for agriculture in Victorias City.
Benitez further said that Secretary Laurel verbally committed to helping Victorias City’s agriculture programs.
He also announced that there will be a collaboration between DA and the Victorias City government for a demo farm to showcase new fertilizers.
Benitez further said that he is looking forward to a new era in agricultural development in Victorias City.*
