The town of EB Magalona in Negros Occidental is on its way to being a drug cleared municipality, after Brgy. Tanza yesterday joined its list of drug cleared villages.
The declaration of barangay Tanza by the Regional Oversight Committee, brings to 16 the total number EB Magalona barangays declared as drug cleared, according to a statement issued by the EB Magalona Police Station, headed by PMaj. Kenneth Jay Gratones.
EB Magalona is composed of 23 barangays.
It was a good sign that the war against illegal drugs bore fruit, Gratones said, as he lauded the full support of the municipal officials led by Mayor Marvin Malacon.
We will not stop until the 100 percent mark is achieved, Malacon said, as he also acknowledged the support of all sectors of society in the campaign against illegal drugs in EB Magalona.*
