The apprehension of five drug suspects, including a woman, on March 23 in Negros Occidental, led to the confiscation of more than P300,000 worth of suspected shabu and unlicensed firearms, according to reports of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.
The buy bust operation in Brgy. Orong, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, led to the arrest of a Cauayan town drug personality, who yielded about 35 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P238,000, marked money of P2,500, and a caliber .38 revolver with four ammunition.
Another anti-drug operation at San Juan Tunga in Brgy. 5, San Carlos City, resulted in the arrest of two more drug suspects, including a woman, and the confiscation of a Taurus caliber .45 pistol with two magazines containing seven ammunition, and an estimated 6.88 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P46,784.
The apprehension of a miner in Sipalay City and a tricycle driver in Pontevedra, all in Negros Occidental, also yielded three sachets of suspected shabu, P1000 in marked money, and P85 in cash.*
