The Bacolod City Police Office reported yesterday that it confiscated P2.3 million of suspected shabu from five arrested drug personalities, within a period of one week in Bacolod City, from September 12 to 18.
PLt. Col. Sherlock Gabana, BCPO spokesman, said that 351.1 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P2,387,280, were seized by BCPO units in five police operations that netted five drug suspects who are now facing charges for violation of RA 9165, known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
In the campaign against wanted persons, BCPO arrested 15 wanted persons, while 72 others were apprehended for illegal gambling, yielding P11,695 in cash bets.
In a statement, PCol. Thomas Joseph Martir, BCPO director, lauded the different police units for a job well done in their efforts to curb criminality in Bacolod City.
Martir also reminded BCPO personnel to always do their mandated task with all their passion and might, so as to assure the people of Bacolod of their safety.*
