Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez belied reports of a rift brewing between him and Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya, in relation to the forthcoming barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on October 30.
Benitez said they both have a harmonious relationship. They call and text each other almost every day regarding the needs of the city.
“The barangay and SK election is still far. Don’t worry,” he said, adding that the reports circulating are just being spread by “Marites,” or people who love to entertain gossip.*
