Thrilled to death at the thought that the son of my idol in Philippine fashion Mags Cue, made it to the Mr. Philippines International 2022. Win or lose doesn’t matter at all because just looking at Andre brings pride to Cagayan de Oro!
He’s a perfect combination of his Chinese – Philippine father, businessman tycoon John Oliver Cue, just as his 3 other brothers, how blessed can you get!
Mags Cue made her debut entrance when she got a much sought-after outlet space in Ayala North’s just opened shopping arcade. Little did I know that this achiever of a woman entrepreneur (France excels in entrepreneurship) has already 30 branches all over the Philippine archipelago, giving pride and honor to her hard work and innovation.
Focusing on her niche market which had a consumer’s budget of at least P15,000 a month, she skyrocketed fast and easy on her fun and eye-catching fashion line. I had the honor of cutting the inaugural ribbon of her Ayala North. Must be my magic that brought more rings in the cashier that day. Overheard someone came in before the opening and bought more than P35,000 of clothes, fashion accessories and shoes!
For that, gurl friend Mag made me choose my first tranny platform sandals which was a big hit in Mykono, Greece!
Then, we move on to my photos of my French peonies. It was only in Paris that I really got into loving peonies. They change colors from vermillion to fuschia and then pink.
Then, the flowers turn to white to wither into stiff petals of avatar forms. This process can take up to 3 weeks if you’re lucky enough like me, who was able to photograph them daily. Big as plates when fully bloomed, they while away my time as I can’t do the ramp of the Paris sidewalks like the super model.
In French culture, its origins come from both China and Japan. But the species cultivated nowadays in Europe are so beautiful that it’s beauty and price outweighs its phytochemistry that include monoterpenoid glucosides, flavonoids, tannins, stilbenoids, triterpenoids, steroids, paeonols and phenols.
In vitro biological activities include antioxidant, antitumor, antipathogenic, immunomodulative, cardiovascular-system-protective activities and central-nervous-system activities.
Paeoniaceae are dependent on C3 carbon fixation. They contain ellagic acid, myricetin, ethereal oils and flavones, as well as crystals of calcium oxalate. The wax tubules that are formed primarily consist of palmitone (the ketone of palmitic acid).
A lot of these info contribute to the success of French cosmetics. Whatever, peonies make my days bright!*
