Cockfighting will be prohibited on Holy Thursday and Good Friday in Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
In his executive order number 3, Mayor John Rey Tabujara said the police have been tasked to take appropriate action against violators.
Tabujara said that cockfighting, including all forms of operations, is prohibited during the observance of Holy Thursday and Good Friday.
Due to rising temperatures, Mayor Gerardo Rojas also suspended all in person classes starting in the afternoon of March 26 and whole day of March 27, in preschool, elementary, junior and senior high school levels, in public and private schools of Murcia.
The mode of instruction is shifted to modular distance learning, Rojas said.
For the college level, Rojas said he is leaving it to the discretion of their respective school administrators, as stressed that there will be no outdoor activities.
The Central Philippines State University also issued an advisory, suspending its work operations in the afternoon of March 27, to resume on April 1.*
