Motorcycle-riding suspects shot and killed a police officer Thursday night along the highway of Brgy. 1 Poblacion in Siaton, Negros Oriental.
The victim was identified by the police as PSSgt. Bobster Guillarawan, a newly-assigned cop at the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company in Brgy. Napacao, Siaton, Negros Oriental.
Guillarawan, who succumbed to gunshot wounds in his back and face, was declared dead on arrival at the Siaton District Hospital, a Siaton Police Station report said.
Initial police investigation showed that Guillarawan, who was reportedly driving his motorcycle, was waylaid then shot and killed by the suspects.
Police investigators have four persons of interest in the shooting of Guillarawan, while the motive of the killing is still being established by authorities.*
