A suspected pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Purok Malipayon, Barangay 35 in Bacolod City, at about 11:30 p.m. Friday.
Station 1 anti-illegal drugs personnel nabbed Roger Flores, alias “Tinoy”, 30, of Brgy. 16 in Bacolod, P/Maj. Jovil Sedel, Station 1 chief, said yesterday.
Sedel added that 19 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, weighing about 5.16 grams and worth P36,120, an improvised tooter, a disposable lighter, a coin purse, and P300 in marked money were recovered from Flores.
Sedel said Flores is classified as a street-level individual and his customers are trisikad drivers and residents of Brgy. 35 and adjacent barangays.
Flores is now detained at the custodial facility of Station 1, and charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being readied against him.
Meanwhile, a curfew violator was nabbed with a sachet of suspected shabu at Burgos-Ramos streets in Barangay 19, Bacolod City, at about 9 p.m. Friday.
Arrested was Remart Nevit, 22, of Barangay 7 in Bacolod, a police report said.
Patrolmen Danilo Pango and Feb Jun Perez, beat patrollers of the Burgos Patrol Base, were enforcing the 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew when they saw a man, later identified as Nevit, trying to hide from them.
They approached Nevit and informed him of his curfew violation. They then ordered the suspect to empty his pockets. A broken yellow keypad cellular phone fell into the ground and they saw a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu when the battery pack got separated from the phone, records added.
Nevit was brought to Police Station 4 and may face charges for illegal possession of drugs, the police said.*
