The new COVID-19 cases in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental have dropped in the last three days.
Cases have dropped from three digits to two digits daily, Department of Health data showed yesterday.
The DOH reported that there were 34 new COVID -19 cases in Bacolod City and 20 in Negros Occidental yesterday.
On Monday Bacolod City had 16 new cases and Negros Occidental had 66, while on Sunday there were 10 in Bacolod and three in Negros Occidental.
Meanwhile, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said the provincial government is practicing targeted RT-PCR testing for COVID-19 of people identified through contact tracing.
Mass testing of persons not identified through contact tracing is a waste of resources and is contrary to DOH regulations, he said.*
