Philippine Taipan Dr. Lucio C. Tan, through the initiatives of his son LT Group, Inc. President Michael G. Tan, recently fully inoculated 2,002 employees, third party service providers (3Ps) working for the ten Lucio Tan Group of Companies (LTGC) based here in Negros Occidental.
Jetting in from Manila were AstraZeneca vials for the 2nd dose inoculation of LTGC employees. The sun shone brightly on the two days that 1,077 LTGC employees, 3Ps and household members arrived at the Bacolod Taytung Po Hang Gymnasium, the exclusive venue for their Bacolod inoculation. Despite the huge number of employees who availed of the free vaccine, everything went like clock-work. Since this was already the 2nd dose inoculation, employees just needed to bring their company Identification cards and QR codes to be presented at the registration area. Employees arrived in buses based on their allotted vaccination times. This practice eliminated long lines and long hours of waiting. Vaccination was done by doctors and medical professionals based in Bacolod provided by Zuellig Pharma.
Everything was well organized that day. There were four different counters manned by experts. Each counter had a huge tarpaulin that served as a signage with instructions per stage. Stage 1 is the reception area where one is given the health education and registration, Stage 2 is the health screening and counselling area, Stage 3 is the inoculation area while Stage 4 is the Observation Area. Spearheading the Negros Occidental vaccination efforts of the Lucio Tan Group of Companies were Vice President Ronald Tan, Asia Brewery Market Territory Manager Michael Miranda and Philippine National Bank Area Head Maria Russel Lau.
The Bacolod vaccination site accommodated employees working for the ten companies in Bacolod City, Murcia, Pulupandan and Silay, namely Air Philippines, Allianz PNB Life, Asia Brewery, Inc., Asian Alcohol Corporation, MacroAsia Corporation, Philippine Airlines, Philippine National Bank, PMFTC Inc., Total Bulk Corporation and Tanduay Distillers, Inc. The other site was at Victorias Milling Company, where 925 employees were inoculated.*
