Former traffic enforcer nabbed for robbery

A former traffic enforcer was arrested by Station 2 Mobile Patrol team after he allegedly held-up a man at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rosario Street in Brgy. 38, Bacolod City.

Police identified the arrested suspect as Mark Doney Oberas, 42, of Purok Malipayon in Brgy. 12, Bacolod on complaints of Audrey Pedrosa, 21 of Ceres Road in Brgy. Mansilingan.

Pedrosa said the the suspect touted a knife held him up and took his cellphone valued at P5,000.

The incident was witnessed by Station 2 deputy chief, P/Lt. Andy Ofalia, who passed by the area where the robbery took place, on board his car. A knife, the victim’s cellular phone and a motorcycle were recovered from the suspect.*
