If not for Imperial Manila-bred gurls Melissa Lopez and Karen Litré, I wouldn’t have had the chance to love this part of France. Gordes is in the Provence-Luberon area. The first time was part of Miren Lopez Zayco’s family group in search of the lavender-gastronomique route. We had to go from town to town so we can catch the lavenders bloom. It was an olfactory experience that ended in gouache landscapes by sisters-two Miren and Ling2 Quiros.

Then, Melissa invited for a long weekend in her residence at St. Rémy-en-Provence. It was fashionable when Princess Carolina had a hideaway there. Besides her top floor flat in Paris Melissa and Joel her adorable French looker of a husband (lately departed, poor dear ) entertained me and Pål with Monte Carlo private banker Nene Lacson and Makati mogul Nonoy Campos in their Provençal design enormous home with a newly installed barbecue hut by the pool.

The impressive grillwork at her gate and long driveway to her classic villa immediately makes one dream. After a couple of days we drove down to Gordes to visit Karen and her sexy French multi-millionaire husband Patrick Litré with a Budji Layug designed sprawling home with lavender fields and century olive tree orchard right in the tracks of this picture perfect French village.

Well, our fourth time last week, I spent was with Pål in the pool side guest villa in what our host Patrick described as the region’s typique home they refer to as “mas” due to the constant addition of rooms as the family grows. Yikes, it’s our FIFTH time in Gordes because it’s the second time we stayed at the poolside guest villa! LOL ????

MY PRAYER. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 2 Corinthians 4:8–10, NIV*
