About 520 residents of four hinterland barangays in Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, have availed of free medical and related services from the Task Force ELCAC (Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict) on December 28.
The 62nd Infantry Battalion participated in the Dagyawan sa Barangay “Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP),” initiated by the Guihulngan City Task Force To End Local Communist Armed Conflict (GCTF-ELCAC) in partnership with other security forces and local government agencies in Brgy. Buenavista, Guihulngan City.
In a statement, the 62IB said that 520 residents of Brgys. Buenavista, Magsaysay, Nagsaha, and Villegas, all of Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental benefited free services, such as medical consultations, free medicines, haircuts, and fertilizer distribution.
The 62IB also briefed the four hinterland barangay residents of the government Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), that can be availed of rebels who surrender to the government.*
