Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson is not taking chances, as he expects another RT-PCR test to ensure that he is free from COVID-19 infection.
Lacson was non-reactive to antigen testing before he tested positive for COVID-19 on a RT-PCR test last week. But he returned to duty under the work from home arrangement on Wednesday, after completion of the mandated isolation period.
He attributed his speedy recovery due to being fully-vaccinated against COVIOD-19.
Lacson said he is expected to return to work to his office on January 31.
Aside from Lacson, two of his security aides and several Capitol employees were also infected by the virus.
This led to the temporary lockdown of the Provincial Capitol Building in Bacolod City, for disinfection.
The operations of Bago and Silay City Halls are also back to normal after being closed when many of their respective employees also tested positive for COVID-19.*
