The three-day celebration of the Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival was declared yesterday by the police as “generally peaceful,” citing the absence of any untoward incidents.
It was a crime-free festival, according to a report of the Bacolod City Police Office.
Almost 600 police personnel, augmented by force multipliers, were dispatched to three festival sites from May 26 to 28.
Personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire and Protection, Bacolod Traffic Authority Office and City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office beefed up the police manpower in securing three- day festivities.*
