Almost P1 million worth of suspected shabu and an unlicensed firearm were seized by the police in separate buy bust operations in four cities of Negros Occidental, also leading to the arrest of four drug suspects.
Policemen yesterday arrested an alias Tisoy, classified as a High Value Individual drug personality, during a buy bust operation in Brgy. Handumanan, Bacolod City.
His arrest by operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit yielded an estimated 125 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P850,000, and a caliber .45 pistol.
PBrig. Gen. Jack Wanky, regional police director of Western Visayas, congratulated BCPO DEU operatives for the successful anti drug operation.
A similar anti-drug operation at Purok Paraiso in Brgy. Hilamonan, Kabankalan City,on April 11, also led to the confiscation of about 14 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P95,200, and its assorted paraphernalia.
The separate apprehensions of two more drug suspects in cities of Victorias and Escalante in Negros Occidental, also yielded an estimated five grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P34,000, police records showed.
All the four arrested drug suspects are now locked up in jail.*
