Soft skills training on time management, growth mindset, and action planning for NWTF employees*

Recovering from the reeling effects of the pandemic, any company or organization would agree that the continued well-being of their employees is a top priority. Creating a workplace where they feel valued and cared for, where they are supported and groomed for success and breakthroughs, makes up for the hard work and dedication employees put into their work.

For Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation (NWTF), consistency is important, which is why the microfinance organization continues to reinvent ways and methods that will keep the employees safe, and feel that they are appreciated for their hard work.

True to this promise, the NWTF was recently named one of the Philippines’ Best Employers. Out of the thousands of eligible employers in the Philippines, NWTF earned its way to the top 100 of the 300 recognized best employers for 2024. The list came after months of research and comprehensive study of the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Statista, a global data and business intelligence platform.

Through the NWTF Cares program, overall training for career growth is given each year to qualified employees of NWTF; soft skills training, relevant seminars, and workshops take place both online and in-person to support the NWTF workforce, fostering a culture of healthy work and life balance.

Also part of the care program of NWTF are the mental health and preventive healthcare program, which the organization takes serious effort in, recognizing the need for a healthier mind and body in this day and age.

According to a press release, the NWTF, then and now, is committed to ensuring that every employee feels that their work contributes and is crucial to building sustainable communities, a renewed mandate that the organization has set its sights on.

“We are beyond grateful for this very timely recognition as next year marks our 40th year anniversary. We honestly did not expect to receive this award. The board and management of the NWTF Group just wanted to be there for our employees, especially in these trying times. With this, we would like to express our gratitude to everyone— for the appreciation and validation of our four decades of commitment to helping those in need and our NWTF-Dungganon family,” NWTF Executive Director Suzzette Gaston said.

“We also take this as a challenge to remain consistent and steadfast as we deliver on our promise of better tomorrows through sustainable communities we will build inside and outside of NWTF,” Gaston added.

NWTF’s recognition is concrete proof of the organization’s zealous work in building better tomorrows not only for its over 500,000 clients but also for its more than 4,000 dedicated employees across the country.*
