More than P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu was seized by the police in separate buy bust operations on March 1 and 2 in Negros Occidental, also resulting in the apprehension of four drug suspects, including a widow.
The arrest of a 58-year-old widow on March 1 at Purok Ipil ipil in Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City, yielded an estimated 163 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1,108,400, according to a report of the Police Regional Office 6.
Another buy bust operation also on Friday also led to the arrest of another suspected drug pusher, identified only through his alias, July, at Purok Neptune in Brgy. Singcang- Airport, Bacolod City.
His apprehension also resulted in the confiscation of about 26 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P176,800.
A similar buy bust operation in Brgy. Zone 15, Talisay City, on March 2, also led to the apprehension of two drug suspects, yielding an estimated three grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P20,400.
The identities of the four arrested drug suspects have been withheld by the police. They are all locked up in police custodian facilities, pending the filing of charges for violation of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
