The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Occidental will construct its building in Silay City soon.
PDEA-6 regional director Edgar Apalla and assistant director Donelyn Hemedez paid a courtesy call on Silay City Mayor Mark Golez recently and discussed the plan.
It was mentioned during the meeting that the building will be constructed on a 1,000 square-meter lot, with an approved initial budget of P5 million from the congressional fund of Rep. Joseph Stephen Paduano, the PDEA 6 reported.
Golez also received recognition from PDEA-6 for providing logistical support, assistance, and dedication in the conduct of anti-drug operations.
Hemedez also discussed Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation no. 2 series of 2018, or the Balay Silangan Reformation Center.
The reformation program is a way to reach out to drug pushers who voluntarily surrendered or applied for plea bargaining through general interventions, counseling, and livelihood trainings.*
