Former Bacolod Rep. and city administrator John Orola Jr., was informed by the PDP Laban Manila that the meeting of their members on Saturday in Negros Occidental is postponed until after the holding of the party’s Convention in Manila on Monday, a press release from the former solon’s office said.
Orola is a former PDP Laban member and the Liaison of PDP-Laban Cusi wing group in Negros Occidental.
The holding of the PDP-Laban Convention is in compliance of the Comelec requirements and policy, the press release said.
The rift between the PDP Laban Cusi wing and the Pimentel wing had to be resolved first before the holding of the party consultation in the province of Negros Occidental, it said.
Orola, who is groomed and endorsed by certain groups to run for governor of Negros Occidental, said that he has not committed yet to run as there are many factors to be considered before running for any political post.*
