Popular bands lined up for Kadalag-an Festival

Negrenses should expect a star studded Kadalag-an Festival in Victorias City, next month.

Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez yesterday said that popular bands and movie and television personalities will be joining the Kadalag-an Festival which will be held from March 21 to 24.

The 26th Kadalag-an Festival will be held at its new site, the Sidlak Victorias Global City. It was previously held at the Victorias City public plaza.

Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. will attend the inauguration of the newly built evacuation center on March 14.

From March 14 to 17, it will be filled with pre-Kadalag-an sports activities, such as boxing, beach volleyball, Palumba para sa Kadalag-an, basketball, E-sports, drag race, airsoft, and skateboard competitions.

The celebration of the Charter Day on March 21 will be highlighted by GMA artists in the afternoon and Parokya ni Edgar in the evening.

The next day, actor Sam Milby will serenade the candidates of the Kadalag-an Queen during the Pageant Night.

Benitez also announced that popular band Ben & Ben, will also perform on March 23.

Negrense actress Sue Ramirez, the girlfriend of Mayor Benitez, is also joining the Victoriahanons in celebrating the festival on March 21 to 24.

Meanwhile, the city government led by Benitez also signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Asensok Sidlak Foundation, who will manage the month-long festivities.*
