Senator Robin Padilla, chair of the Senate Committee on Public Information and Mass Media, administered the oath of office of Negros Press Club president Erwin “Ambo” Delilan at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City on April 6.
The theme for the 88th NPC Induction and Oath Taking Ceremony is “NPC@88: Still Vanguards of Truth.”
“As I take oath as the new president, I promise to raise the flag of NPC…I also want to make each and every member of NPC relevant still amid the challenging era of digitalization,” Delilan said during his speech.
Delilan, columnist of Panay News, has 27 years of experience in public and media relations. He started as a newscaster of RMN-DYHB in 1982.
Other NPC officers took their oath before Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya. They are Nida Buenafe (Negros Now Daily) – vice presient, Lourd John Diaz (Aksyon Radyo Bacolod), Nanette Guadalquever (Philippine News Agency), Nona Magbanua (Aksyon Radyo Bacolod) – auditor, and Board of Director Mae Singuay (Panay News), Yves Montecillo (RMN – DYHB), Reynaldo Duason (1035 DYRL), and Dolly Yasa (Daily Guardian).
Meanwhile, the new members of NPC took their oath before Delilan.*
