Artfull Gallery celebrated their 3rd Anniversary this March with the launching of the 1st PULU-POP-UP on March 15 and 16.
PULU-POP-UP is a play on the prefixing of Ilonggos, especially when nouns or English words are used, trying to turn it into a verb (pulu-pakodak ta, pulu-paduding sya). It also refers to the act of doing something. PULU can also mean island, that is pertaining to Negros Island, with so many artists and creatives who make their own products.
The pop-up was a coming together of 15 Negrense artists, bringing in their original art on merchandise like stickers, shirts, bookmarks, accessories, notebooks, prints, tote bags, mugs, and button pins.
“We are looking forward sa PULU-kag-TATLO ka artists to share more of their original art. We focus on their art to boost what exceptional talents we have here in Bacolod and Negros,” added artist Tey Sevilleno, Artfull’s creative managing director.
The entrance to PULU-POP-UP was free, to cater to all audiences, and it aimed to give a venue for artists to share their art. There will be a 2nd pop-up this April 26 to 28 and for inquiries, kindly message their IG: @artfullph or FB Page: Artfull Philippines.*
