About P300,000 worth of suspected shabu were recovered by the police from a security guard and four others, in series of buy bust operations in Negros Occidental on June 8.
The apprehension of Edison Luague, alias Ed, 20, at the Center Mall in Brgy. Palampas, San Carlos City, during a buy bust operation yielded an estimated 34.85 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P236,980, P800 marked money, and a black Kinlon motorcycle.
A security guard identified by the police as Gerald Ocido, 26, was also arrested by the police in another buy bust operation on Thursday at Purok Nara in Brgy. Lalagsan, La Castellana.
It yielded 12 sachets of suspected shabu, P100 in marked money, assorted illegal drugs paraphernalia, and P300 in cash, according to the La Castellana police.
Three other drug suspects identified as Rhendy Soriba, Leo Carlo Arevalo and Rene Niegos, were also accounted for by the police, following their separate arrests through buy bust operations in Silay City, Binalbagan, and Ilog.
More or less seven grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P47,600, were recovered by the police during the arrest Soriba at Zone 6 in., Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City, while the apprehension of Arevalo in Brgy. Santo Rosario in Binalbagan also yielded 17 sachets of suspected illegal drugs and its paraphernalia, as well as P500 in marked money.
Niegos is also under police custody, following his arrest in a buy bust operation at Purok 6 in Brgy. Dancalan, Ilog.
Five sachets of suspected shabu with a market value of P3,400 and marked money of P500, were recovered by the police during the operation.*
