A 70-year-old man was shot and killed March 15 by a still unidentified gunman at Hacienda Ideal in Brgy. Bacong, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
The victim was identified by the Bago City police as Alejandriti Emeterio, 70, of the barangay.
Initial police investigations showed that Emeterio was shot outside his residence and succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, the police said.
Recovered from the scene of incident by the polic were four fired cartridges, two live bullets and a slug of a 45 caliber pistol.
The shooting incident is still being investigated by the Bago City Police Station.
Meanwhile, two suspects were arrested by the police on March 15 in the cities of Sagay and Silay, Negros Occidental.
The apprehension of Norberto Era, aliasTotoy, in Brgy. Baviera, Sagay City, yielded a homemade 38 caliber revolver with two ammunition.
The arrest of Delvie Rodriguez in Brgy. Guinhalaran, Silay City, also led to the recovery of a Shooter Elite 45 caliber pistol with a magazine containing seven ammunition, and three more spare magazines with 21 bullets, police said.*
