The Sipalay City Government through the City Tourism Office led by Jerick Lacson recently conducted a two-day kite making workshop in the city as part of the 8th Burangoy Tourism Kite Festival to be held this March.
The workshop focused on making various types of kites such as flat kite plain, plain kite folding, box kite, and figure or 3D kite.
Kite Association of the Philippines-Bacolod kite maker James Lyster Dingcong conducted the training together with Crispulo Rosales and Joenet Bescaser.
Executive assistant on Tourism and Education Praem Mediodia emphasized the history and background of the Kite Festival in the city and expressed his gratitude to the trainers for sharing their kite-making prowess with the participants, during the program.*
