A Sangguniang Kabataan kagawad and three others died during a vehicular accident yesterday at Crossing Bulo-bitoon national highway in Brgy. Miranda, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
Initial police investigations showed the Isuzu DMax vehicle driven by Cristopher Antiqueño incidentally hit a tricycle driven by Simeon Noblezada Jr., while traversing the highway from a south to north direction.
The vehicular accident claimed the lives of Noblezada, 62; Meldy Capillo and Dena Espinosa, both of legal age, and Kent Tolido, 19, all residents of the barangay.
Tolido is a member of SK in Brgy. Miranda, Hinigaran.
Another passenger tricycle was also reported to have been damaged as a result of the vehicular accident.
Antiqueño, of Brgy. Granada, Bacolod City, is now under the custody of the Hinigaran police, pending further investigations of the incident.*
