Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya yesterday said he has already forwarded to the central office of the Nationalist People’s Coalition the endorsement of the Bacolod City councilors, who are former NPC members, of Marlon Solidum as replacement for the late councilor Elmer Sy in the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
Gasataya said he also forwarded to the NPC the letter of Pao Sy, daughter of the late councilor, appealing that she be considered as a replacement for her father in the SP.
Before they took their oath as members of the Nationalist Party, the NPC councilors have recommended Solidum, their party mate who is running for councilor of Bacolod in the 2022 elections under Grupo Progreso (GP), to replace Sy who passed away last June 25,
Gasataya said he is just waiting for the return call of secretary general Mark Llandro Mendoza on the outcome of the communications he had sent.
The recommendation of the local NPC will be sent to the national NPC before this will be forwarded to the Office of the President for President Rodrigo Duterte for signing.*
