More than 2,000 employees and service providers under the Victorias Milling Company Inc. are scheduled to be inoculated against Covid-19 with the vaccines expected to arrive next month.
VMC president Minnie Chua, in a statement issued by the company, said they have already submitted the names of the employees who agreed to sign up for vaccination, including their out-sourced workers.
Chua said the safety and well-being of their employees are their top priority, and the vaccination program is necessary to protect them and their families from the virus, and will help in restoring normalcy in their operations.
She said some of their employees had been infected, and others lost family members to Covid.
This prompted the VMC management to set a mass vaccination for its employees, and 90 percent of them signed up for the inoculation program.
“We are thankful to our chairman emeritus, Lucio Tan, and the LT Group for initiating this program to procure vaccines for the employees,” Chua said. She added that mechanics were also being drawn up to allow employees to access vaccines for their families and households.*
