Western Visayas will soon have a new regional police director, after PBrig. Gen. Leo Francisco was relieved yesterday as regional police director of Western Visayas.
Francisco is up for promotion, as he was designated as officer in charge of the Directorate for Operations at Camp Crame.
He served as WV police director for more than eight months, since August last year.
Francisco is expected to be promoted soon to the rank of major general, which carries the position he occupied.
It was not yet determined as of press time, who will be designated as WV regional police director.
PBrig. Gen. Archival Macala, deputy regional director for Administration of Police Regional 6, is temporarily serving as PRO6 head.
The PRO 6 supervises six provincial police offices, including Negros Occidental, Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan, Antique and Guimaras PPOs, as well as the Polices Offices of the cities of Bacolod and Iloilo.*
