Eleven more police personnel in Western Visayas have tested positive for COVID-19, a report of the PNP Health Service said.
Of the 11 PNP members infected by the virus, five are assigned at the Iloilo Police Provincial Office, three at the Guimaras Police Provincial Office, and one each at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, Iloilo City Police Office and Police Regional Office 6 headquarters, the report added.
This brought to 83 the total number of COVID-19 active cases involving police officers in the region, with IIoilo PPO has the most number cases with 32, Guimaras PPO-14, Capiz PPO- 8 ,Aklan PPO -7, PRO 6 headquarters -6, Antique PPO-5, Negros Occidental PPO -3, National Support Units – 2 and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6- 1.
Of the 1.400 confirmed cases, affecting PNP members, a total of 1,312 already recovered, with 83 active cases and five deaths, the report added.*
