The Bacolod City Epidemiology Surveillance Unit (BCESU) has recorded a total of 174 suspected Hand, Foot, Mouth Disease cases in Bacolod City as of April 22.
Out of the 174 cases, 82 males and 92 females have been infected.
The barangays with the most number of HFMD cases are Villamonte with 27, Handumanan – 24, Taculing- 15, Vista Alegre – 13, Estefania – 11, and Singcang, Alijis, Bata, Mandalagan, and Mansilingan with 7 each; Tangub, Banago, Sum-ag with 6 each, Pahanocoy – 5, Puntataytay – 4, and Brgy. 4 with 3 cases.
Meanwhile, the BCESU also recorded a total of 31 confirmed and suspected cases of cholera in Bacolod City during the same period.
The barangays with confirmed cholera cases are Estefania, Alijis, and Mandalagan.*
